For sale is a beautiful, highly collectible matching set of four (4) antique/vintage Chinese openwork carved wood lattice window panels / architectural screens. Finding a complete, sequential set of four intact is incredibly rare. Historically used as decorative windows or room dividers in traditional Chinese courtyard homes, these make stunning, high-end architectural wall art for modern spaces today. Artistry & Theme: Each panel features a unique, deeply carved central relief depicting a distinct style of vase and seasonal flowers. This is the classic "Bogu" (Precious Antiquities) theme, traditionally symbolizing the four seasons, peace, prosperity, and refined scholarly taste. The geometric lattice woodwork framing each center is meticulously detailed. Authenticity & Provenance: Two of the panels still retain their original red wax customs clearance / exportation seals on the ends. The seals feature the official bronze "Ding" tripod vessel logo of the Chinese State Administration of Cultural Heritage and individual inspector inventory numbers (e.g., "309"). This proves they were officially inspected, documented, and legally cleared for export by government authorities in the mid-to-late 20th century, confirming their authentic vintage/antique origin. Condition Notes: The panels are in beautiful structural condition with a rich, dark-toned natural wood grain and historic patina. The backs show the gorgeous, raw, unlacquered hand-planed wood.
