Description

Beautiful pair of vintage mid-century Chinese openwork pierced wood carvings, professionally framed and ready to hang. These intricate, three-dimensional relief plaques are carved from a single piece of wood, showing exceptional depth and traditional craftsmanship. Subjects: One panel depicts a traditional maiden/deity in flowing robes, and the companion panel depicts an elder fisherman with his catch (symbols of good fortune and harmony). Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The delicate openwork scroll borders are completely intact with no chips, splits, or missing pieces. Clean, non-smoking home. Framing: Housed in complementary deep shadowbox-style dark wood frames with a double gold-accented matting. Sturdy hanging wire is pre-installed on the back of both pieces. Perfect statement art for a living room, hallway, or gallery wall. Selling only as a complete matching set.
