Description
Authentic mid-century Brown Jordan “Kantan” table, designed by Tadao Inouye in 1956. This design was selected by the Department of Commerce for the 1959 Industrial World’s Fair in Tokyo and later featured in the Cooper Hewitt’s “Please Be Seated” exhibition. A true Southern California original from the company that invented year-round outdoor furniture — not a reproduction. • 41.5” diameter × 24” tall — the classic low “chat” height, perfect for a firepit area, low lounge chairs, or poolside • Signature bamboo-inspired tubular aluminum frame with wishbone joints • Original pebbled glass top, intact • Honest original sage green finish with patina — keep the vintage character as-is, or powder coat in any color for a showpiece These frames are light to move but built to outlast all of us. New Kantan tables from Brown Jordan run well over $1,000, and restored vintage examples sell for $600+ at design dealers — this is your chance to get the real thing at a fraction of that. Cash only. Meetup at the Safe Exchange Zone at Gilbert Police & Fire Headquarters (75 E. Civic Center Dr.) or the Chandler Police Main Station (250 E. Chicago St.), buyer’s choice. Fits in a truck bed or hatchback. No trades.
