Description
Vintage Harmony House fine china dinnerware set in the elegant Platinum Garland pattern #3541, manufactured in Japan for Sears, Roebuck & Co. during the mid-20th century. This refined pattern features delicate platinum garland and wheat-inspired scroll motifs surrounding bright white porcelain with platinum trim accents, capturing the sophisticated formal dining aesthetic popular during the 1960s and 1970s. Harmony House china was sold exclusively through Sears and became highly popular as quality imported Japanese porcelain for wedding registries and formal entertaining. This impressive 97-piece set includes a complete twelve-piece place setting service along with numerous matching serving accessories and additional bonus serving platters. The porcelain presents beautifully with glossy finishes, crisp platinum detailing, and a cohesive elegant appearance throughout the collection. Nearly every piece remains in pristine condition. The only noted flaw is a single chip on one of the serving bowls, shown clearly in the photographs. Also included are two additional large ceramic serving platters in coordinating white and platinum tones. These extra platters are unbranded and not original Harmony House pieces but pair beautifully with the set and are included as bonus serving pieces. Set Includes: * 12 Dinner Plates – 10 1/4” diameter * 12 Soup / Pasta Bowls – 8” diameter x 1 1/2” deep * 12 Dessert / Fruit Bowls – 5 1/2” diameter x 1 1/2” deep * 12 Salad Plates – 8” diameter * 12 Bread / Dessert Plates – 6 1/2” diameter * 12 Saucers – 5 5/8” diameter * 12 Coffee Cups – 3 1/2” diameter, 4 1/2” including handle, 2 1/4” deep * 5 Additional Extra Cups – matching pattern, no saucers included Serving Pieces: * 1 Large Serving Platter – 16” long x 11 1/2” wide x 1 1/2” high * 2 Serving Bowls – 11” across x 8” wide x 2” deep * One bowl has a single chip on the edge shown in photos * 1 Gravy Boat with Attached Underplate – gravy boat measures 7” across x 5 1/2” wide x 2 1/2” deep, attached underplate measures 8” diameter * 1 Creamer – 6” handle to spout x 3 1/2” high * 1 Covered Sugar Bowl – approximately 6” across x 5” diameter x 5” high with lid Bonus Pieces Included: * 2 Additional Large Ceramic Serving Platters * Coordinating white and platinum color palette * Unbranded complementary pieces included with the set * Each platter measures approximately 15 1/2” long x 11” wide x 1” deep This is a substantial and beautifully coordinated vintage fine china collection ideal for formal dining, holiday entertaining, large family gatherings, or display. Complete Harmony House services of this size with extensive serving accessories are increasingly difficult to find, especially with such well-preserved platinum decoration and glossy finishes. A striking mid-century Japanese porcelain set with timeless elegance and exceptional presentation. This extensive 97-piece Harmony House Platinum Garland #3541 fine china set remains in exceptional vintage condition with beautifully preserved glossy finishes, bright white porcelain, and elegant platinum garland decoration throughout. The dinner plates, salad plates, bread plates, bowls, saucers, coffee cups, serving platter, gravy boat with attached underplate, creamer, covered sugar bowl, and the additional bonus serving platters all present beautifully with a remarkably clean appearance. The platinum trim remains crisp and well defined across the collection, and the porcelain maintains a refined formal presentation consistent with well-cared-for vintage fine china. The only condition issue noted in the entire set is a single chip located on the edge of one serving bowl, shown clearly in the photographs. Aside from this one isolated flaw, all remaining pieces are in pristine condition with no other chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Considering the size and completeness of the collection, the preservation of this set is outstanding and makes it an impressive example of mid-century Japanese porcelain manufactured for Harmony House and Sears.
