Sports Illustrated UConn Huskies “Dominant” Emeka Okafar leads the Huskies to a Resounding National Championship 2004 SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Emeka Okafor Ted Williams Chris Webber+ 4/12/2004 Emeka Okafor would play for Uconn, from 2001-2004. Okafor was known for his very impressive shot blocking ability, average an insane 4.1 blocks in his third and final year. Okafor would produce elite stats in college, averaging 17.6 PPG (points per game), 11.5 RPG (rebounds per game), 1 APG (assists per game), 4.1 BPG (blocks per game), and 1 SPG (steals per game). Despite his brilliance on the court, he was off the court as well, graduating with a 3.8 GPA. You need to have at least a 2.0 GPA to play NCAA basketball.
