Vintage 1978 Ceramarte Pied Piper of Hamelin Beer Stein Brazil Pewter Lid

A wonderfully detailed 1978 Avon collector beer stein featuring the legendary Pied Piper of Hamelin, handcrafted in Brazil exclusively for Avon Products Ltd. The stein features an elaborate raised-relief design in deep cobalt blue, creamy ivory and warm amber, accented with gold-tone detailing. The central illustrated panel depicts the Rattenfänger von Hameln (Pied Piper of Hamelin) playing his pipe, accompanied by the Hamelin crest and “Anno 1284,” referencing the historic legend associated with Hamelin, Germany. An ornate hinged metal lid adds even more Old World character, with embossed decorative detailing that beautifully complements the sculptural ceramic body. The underside is clearly marked: AVON Handcrafted in Brazil exclusively for Avon Products Ltd. 1978 It also retains its Ceramarte “Made in Brazil” foil label and identifying number.
