Willsenton R800i 805 Single-Ended Class A Tube Amplifier — $2,100 OBO

Selling my Willsenton R800i 805 integrated tube amplifier in excellent working condition. This is the highly regarded 805 version, using 300B driver tubes and massive 805 output tubes in a single-ended Class A design. This listing includes the amplifier with its complete original Willsenton tube set: • Willsenton 805A output tubes • Willsenton 300B driver tubes • Willsenton 6SN7 tubes • 12AX7 tube • Rectifier tube • Original protective tube cage • Original Willsenton aluminum remote • Original factory box The R800i produces approximately 50 watts per channel, with 4Ω, 8Ω and 16Ω speaker outputs. It is a substantial amplifier, weighing approximately 93 lbs, with point-to-point wiring and large output transformers. On a personal note, this is one of the few pieces of audio equipment that has genuinely affected me emotionally. The first time I heard it properly set up, it brought me to tears. There is an extraordinary warmth and liquidity to the sound, combined with an almost holographic sense of space and dimensionality. Voices and acoustic instruments can have a physical presence in the room that is difficult to describe until you experience it. The amplifier works exactly as it should and has been well cared for. I’m selling it only because I’m changing the direction of my system. Because of its size and weight, local pickup and audition are strongly preferred. I have the complete original factory box and packing materials as well.
