2000 Pontiac Montana – 136K Miles – $2200 This old workhorse has served me well. It has only 136,368 miles and still has plenty of useful life left in it. I’ve mainly appreciated it as a practical hauling vehicle. With the rear seats removed, it has a huge, nearly flat cargo area — great for tools, lumber and building supplies, furniture, gardening, camping, or just about anything else you can fit through the hatch. One thing I loved about this Van is that unlike an open bed truck your cargo will all stay dry during our rainy Seattle winters. The good: • Only 136,368 miles • Runs and drives well • Nearly brand new Tires have only a 5000 miles on their 75,000 mile warranty, and have almost all original tread remaining • Huge cargo area with the rear seats removed • Roof rack • Recently thoroughly cleaned inside and out • All systems working as they should. • My mechanic friend with a PhD used his pro level scanner and detected no problems. I have all the maintenance receipts. It’s a 26-year-old van, so there are few things to know: • The fuel gauge does not work, I bought it that way 16 years ago and it hasn’t been a problem because the onboard trip/fuel computer works fine, and I’ve used that to keep track of fuel and mileage. • scratches, faded/oxidized bumper trim and the normal cosmetic wear you’d expect. Take a look at the photos — I’d rather show it honestly than pretend it’s something it isn’t. It’s certainly not a showpiece, but it’s an honest, useful old workhorse with relatively low mileage that has served me well.
