Cockpit Sauna

This is a custom built cockpit style sauna featuring a conventional steam heater in addition to NIR infrared bulbs. The sauna has a sliding lid allowing for easy access in and out. The sauna features interior and exterior aspen cladding, giving the sauna a modern appearance. Naturally hypoallergenic, this sauna is an excellent choice for anyone with sensitivities to other species of woods used for saunas. A band of Sapele can be found on the lower third of the sauna, providing striking visual appeal. Inside the sauna is equipped with a Harvia KIP 30. This is a well paired heater for this size sauna, heating quickly and keeping the interior very hot. Can easily reach temperatures over 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Coupled with the NIR infrared bulbs for red light therapy, this sauna provides the best of both worlds with regard to heating. Pour water over the rocks to take your experience to the next level with intense steam. Frame constructed from kiln dried studs. Stainless steel hardware used throughout. Fully insulated with RockWool R15 batts, and equipped with an aluminum vapor barrier to reflect the heat and moisture inwards. LED strip lighting around the base of the sauna. Ventilation port with exhaust fan to create airflow when needed. Small cedar bench available to get user in the hottest part of the sauna. Rubber feet keep the sauna 3/4” off the floor to allow for airflow.
