Vintage Solid Maple Tall Dresser / Chest of Drawers – Colonial

Beautiful vintage maple tall chest with substantial construction, handsome wood grain, dovetailed drawers, and classic Early American / Colonial styling. The standout feature is the unusual upper drawer: what appears to be six individual small drawers is actually one large, deep drawer with a decorative six-panel front. Below are two individual drawers and two large full-width drawers, providing excellent storage while giving the chest a very distinctive appearance. Strongly attributed to Temple-Stuart, a respected Massachusetts furniture maker known for quality Early American maple furniture. The back retains factory stamps reading “1911” and “CHEST.” Because the original maker label is no longer present, it is being conservatively sold as attributed to Temple-Stuart rather than definitively marked. Good vintage condition with a sturdy, solid feel and attractive original character. There is normal age-related finish wear, including some scratches and small marks as shown in the photos.
