Vintage Hewell's Pottery Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin

Hewell's Pottery Terracotta Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin. Hand-turned in Gillsville, Georgia, this is a genuine artisan piece from the renowned Hewell family pottery tradition. Measures approximately 12.5 inches tall (large centerpiece size). Clearly features the official Hewell's Pottery stamp right next to an incised "3", indicating it was turned from a substantial 3-gallon size chunk of clay. Features a classic hand-carved jagged-tooth smile, triangular eyes/nose, and its original, removable terracotta top-hat lid. Authentic, unglazed Southern terracotta clay, always kept indoors which has allowed it to maintain beautiful, warm and naturally aged since the early 90's. Perfect for a Halloween centerpiece or a year-round addition to a Southern folk art and pottery collection!
