The 1 HP motor on this model can be conveniently set to four (4) indexed speeds. To provide more granular control the speed of this mixer is continuously variable between 99 RPM and 402 RPM. The continuously variable transmission is extremely durable with hardened alloy gears to stand up to the rigors of commercial use. This mixer features a #12 PTO hub allowing for the convenience of attaching additional equipment such as the Univex VS9 Vegetable Slicer Attachment. The speed of the PTO is also fully variable between 56 RPM and 231 RPM. To make sure this mixer mixes ingredients for the proper amount of time 15-minute timer is included. The SwingRing safety guard is designed to make sure users are safe by preventing loose clothing and limbs to enter the mixer while it is in operation. The mixer automatically stops whenever the safety guard has opened thanks to the interlock switches. The SwingRing is easy to remove for cleaning and is dishwasher safe The standard finish for this mixer is a hybrid epoxy/polyester powder coat in metallic silver but can be ordered in a multitude of color options to make it fit your kitchen. All finishes and colors applied by the factory are NSF approved. By default the mixer ships to use 115v/60/1-ph at 13.6 amps but can be ordered in eight (8) other power options: 220/240v/50/1-ph, 208/240v/60/3-ph, 230v/50/1-ph, 440-480v/60/3-ph, 220v/50/3-ph, 380v/50/3-ph, 400v/50/3-ph, and 208/240v/60/1-ph, Univex SRM40+ Commercial Planetary Mixers are made in the USA with certification from the ETL and NSF.
