Description
Despite owning significantly more expensive high-end boutique basses, this sweet Cort Artisan has been my daily driver. I kept reaching for this instrument due to its incredible tone, neck profile, and comfortable playability. I’m only letting this go because I recently acquired an Ernie Ball Music Man DarkRay that’s been my dream-primary. This Cort deserves to be played, not sit in a case. It was built at PT Cort in Indonesia, one of the world’s largest guitar factories, which also builds instruments for well-known brands such as G&L, Ibanez, Jackson, PRS, Schecter, Sterling by Music Man, Strandberg and more. • Construction: Full Neck-Through-Body design for incredible, piano-like sustain and structural integrity. 5-piece Maple/Wenge neck paired with figured Mahogany wings and a beautiful Maple top. • Neck: Slim C profile with a 1.5" (38 mm) nut, Jazz-style width (20.5mm at the 1st fret, 22mm at the 12th). • Setup: Straight neck, low action, plays clean across all 24 frets. Well balanced, no neck dive. • Electronics: Active Bartolini preamp and MK-1 pickups, with an active/passive toggle, master volume, pickup blend, and 3-band EQ. • Hardware: Hipshot Licensed EB12 bridge and Hipshot Licensed tuners. • Strings: Just restrung with new D’Addario XL Half Rounds (.045–.100), giving you that roundwound punch with a smoother feel that all but eliminates finger noise. • Weight: 8.5 lbs. $585 cash. Local pickup in West Seattle. No trades, no shipping.
