Large vintage oil painting featuring a beautiful black and white Newfoundland dog resting on a pier overlooking the ocean. Signed “Skilling” in the lower corner. This is a hand-painted oil on canvas with a solid scrubbed pine frame. Originally sold through Burdines (marked on the back), a well-known department store that carried decorative art pieces in the mid-late 20th century. The painting has a great coastal / nautical feel and would make a striking statement piece in a living room, office, beach house, or for any dog lover. Approximate era: mid-late 20th century Condition: good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age. Frame included. Great large decorative artwork for anyone who loves classic dog portraits or vintage oil paintings. Pickup only.
