Description

It is a three-in-one tester capable of verifying AC voltage, DC voltage, and continuity. • Voltage Range: Operates from 5V to 600V AC/DC (with primary scale indicators from 120V to 600V). • Safety Rating: Features a CAT III 600V safety rating, making it suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial distribution panels. • Tactile Feedback: The tester physically vibrates/shakes when AC voltage is present to give the operator immediate sensory feedback. • Low Impedance: It features low input impedance designed to eliminate "ghost" or stray voltages that often display false readings on digital multimeters. Operational Instructions 1. Testing Functionality Before Use: Always ensure the device works by testing it on a known live circuit first. 2. Checking Continuity: Lock the probe tips together or touch them directly against each other. If the internal 1.5V LR44 button batteries are good and the test leads are functioning, the continuity LED on the left side will illuminate. Ensure the circuit under test is completely de-energized before verifying its continuity. 3. Duty Cycle Warning: Because it uses an internal physical solenoid coil to measure voltage, do not hold the tester on live AC circuits for more than 15 seconds at a time to prevent the unit from overheating. The protective black leather pouch pictured next to it is branded by Amprobe, a separate manufacturer that also produces electrical test instruments.
