Official Hollywood Park racing program from Zenyatta Appreciation Day, December 5, 2010 — the Hall of Fame mare’s farewell event at her home track, held about a month after her narrow loss in the Breeders’ Cup Classic that ended her bid for a perfect 20-for-20 career. Zenyatta was later named 2010 American Horse of the Year and inducted into the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame in 2016. This program carries added historical significance as a piece of Hollywood Park’s own history — the legendary Inglewood, CA track closed permanently in 2013 and was later demolished to make way for SoFi Stadium. This program captures both a beloved champion’s farewell and one of the sport’s iconic Southern California venues, now gone. Clean, excellent condition — no writing, no handicapping notes, no markings of any kind. For local pick up, I meet folks at the Pasadena police station at 207 North Garfield.
