The height-adjustment mechanism operates, and the folding leaves function as intended. Please review all photos carefully for the overall condition. Beautiful and extremely heavy vintage convertible table featuring a unique mechanical height-adjustment system. The table transforms from approximately 20” coffee-table height to approximately 30” dining-table height. The entire tabletop raises and lowers using the built-in mechanical release lever and spring/counterbalance-assisted lift mechanism, making it surprisingly easy to raise despite the table’s substantial weight. The tabletop measures exactly 36” x 36” and features a beautiful parquet-style design made from numerous individual pieces of wood with varied grain, color and texture. Both side sections fold down when you want a smaller coffee-table configuration and can be opened to create the full 36” x 36” tabletop.
