Description

Offered up is a Vintage 1973 Willie Tyler Lester Ventriloquist Dummy Puppet. The Doll was manufactured by Eegee. Overall condition of the dummy is nice. Though it does show some age discoloration to clothing. Probably something that a good mild detergent cleaning would take care of. Lester is a little over 2FT in Length, complete with his outfit, and even his cap. Just found his glasses as well. His pull string no longer moves his mouth. But again for his age, Lester’s in pretty good shape. Please note this is an Original 1973 Eegee Lester Dummy, not one of the often encountered re-makes made in China. He is marked with the manufacturers name and date on the back of his neck. The ventriloquist Willie Tyler got his big break with Lester on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh in 1972. He made countless appearances on TV throughout the 70’s-80’s on such shows as American Bandstand, The Flip Wilson Show, Match Game, and Family Feud just to name a few. …..So if you were a Baby Boomer or X-Gen like myself you probably can remember this character on the good ole’ days of television throughout the 1970’s. Heck, he even was in McDonald’s commercials. This little guy certainly got around. Now here’s your chance to add a bit of those glory days of youth to your collection. And he promises to be quiet…..
