Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. One of the many late 19th-century and early 20th-century books that prescribed "proper" behavior for women. The attractive gilt and cover decorations and lettering are clean and bright. The book's hinges are secure and the book does not lean. Its cover corners are not bumped but there is just a trace of wear to tips. Black and white illustrations; illustrated by Studies from Life by W.B. Dwyer. Advice on how women should behave, from "daughter at home," to "when her prince comes," "as the children are about her," and "waiting for the angels." Several illustrative photos of women at different life stages. Design center is clear and bright. There is a gift inscription written in ink from 1904 nicely done. Book is without other marks or writings, pages are clean and book is tight and sturdy.
