Henry Likly took an apprenticeship there, became a partner in 1868, and eventually changed the name to Henry Likly & Company in the late 1870s. The Golden Era: It grew to become one of the largest and most successful luggage and trunk manufacturing factories in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
