Vintage Maxim's de Paris Porcelain 12" Charger Plate – Signed SEM Caricature

Bring the glitz and glamour of Paris's Golden Age to your home with this stunning vintage Maxim's de Paris porcelain serving platter/charger plate. This 12-inch (30 cm) piece features a vibrant, iconic 1904 caricature by the legendary French artist Georges Goursat, widely known by his pen name "SEM." The lively illustration depicts real-life high-society celebrities, socialites, and staff dining in the legendary Art Nouveau dining room of Maxim's on the Rue Royale. The names of the historical figures—including restaurant owner Eugène Cornuché, famous dancer Liane de Lancy, and the legendary headwaiter nicknamed "L'œuf de Pâques" (The Easter Egg)—are written in elegant script along the bottom rim. Crafted in France from authentic fine white porcelain (Porcelaine Véritable), this heavy, large-scale charger makes a magnificent standalone display piece on a table easel, a gallery wall accent, or a highly conversational cake and serving platter.
