Description

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. 2018 Audi A5 salvage title with 79,930 miles with only body damage, no airbags deployed or any mechanical problems. Have photos of car showing only minor body damage. Car runs like new and needs nothing and everything works, except one problem. Car have check engine light on due to a fuel level sensor problem. It does not show fuel level and how many miles left in the tank on the dashboard. I've been delaying the repair since I just reset the mileage to zero miles every time I fill up tank. Then I drive it and when the trip meter reaches about 350 miles I know its time to fill up. Been driving like this for over 3 years. However, this year the car needs a smog and the guy at the smog station said it will fail due to the check engine light. So I brought the car into the dealer and they diagnose the problem with "wire circuit that leads to G169 is open causing tank malfunction lights and improper reading. Wiring is not separate due to being integrated to fuel tank and requires  replacement of entire fuel tank." My friend who works in the same dealership said they, the dealer, usually don't want to mess around and they always recommend to change the entire thing, whereas someone with mechanical knowhow may be an easy fix. So, if you're mechanically inclined this car will be worth it to fix even if replacing whole gas tank. I've looked online and found some used tanks around $250 to $380 plus shipping. Like I said, the dealer recommends replacing the entire tank but if someone knows how to fix these then it will be considerably less. The reason I say this car is worth fixing is that this all wheel drive car drives amazing. It is a very well balanced car with performance (0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds) and handling that you will absolutely love! Plus, it gets combined 27 mpg with around 34 mpg highway. Please, low ball offers will not receive a reply.
