Description

NAPPA Award Winner - National Parenting Product Award Winning Publication Signed by Max! Let us know if you would like it personalized! New! Product description: All kids like to make stuff, and seven-year-old Max Nania is no exception. He began inventing different kinds of snacks before he turned three years old. Max’s mom, Sienna, encouraged him every step of the way so long as he helped clean up afterwards. Cooking with Max showcases Max’s 45 favorite recipes that he created over 4 years. With each recipe, Sienna offers tips for Moms to help make the kitchen a fun classroom. Children and grown-ups will have a blast making such delightfully named creations as Tie-Dyed Pancakes and Crunchy Bugs & Cheese. From the Inside Flap: Crunchy Bugs & Cheese…Pirate Pasta… These and other “really fun and kinda messy” recipes CREATED BY A KID FOR OTHER KIDS! Seven-year-old Max Nania began cooking before he turned three years old. Now, for the first time, Max reveals his favorite recipes that he’’s invented! These are all dishes and desserts that kids can make with just a little grown-up supervision. The heart of any home is the kitchen, and Cooking with Max shows young readers and their parents how to make the most of it. From learning shapes and colors for younger readers, to fun lessons in literature and geography for older children, Sienna (Max’’s mom) offers parents and teachers helpful tips for turning the kitchen into a fun classroom. ABOUT MAX: Seven-year-old Max Nania has always been the creative type. His mother, Sienna, says her son began inventing snacks when he was only three. She’s always encouraged her budding chef so long as he always helps clean up afterwards. Max is a typical second grader with a passion for sports (he enjoys playing soccer and is an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team). He’s a talented video gamer, but balances that out with a love for comic books and chapter books. His interest in reading began when he was in preschool. He and his mom would read together and for fun would occasionally make up recipes to go along with the stories. When Max was a first grader, he needed to practice his handwriting, so he started writing down the recipes he’d concocted. And that’s how Cooking with Max first came about, he says. ABOUT MAX’S MOM: Sienna Nania is a self-described Wonder Mom. Being a mom is absolutely awesome, she says. But many times, I just plain wonder what’s going to happen next and how long will it take to clean it up, she explains with a laugh. Parenthood both amazes and crazes, she adds. Sienna is a former yoga instructor and currently, on top of her mom duties (in addition to Max, she has another son, Ian), serves as an agent for a Celtic rock band. She’s also a playwright for a children’s theatre. The kitchen is her favorite room in the house, for it is in the kitchen that she and her family talk, teach, laugh, eat, and cook together. She couldn’t believe it when other moms would tell her they didn’t want their toddlers in the kitchen when they made dinner. Why, that s where this cookbook of Max s came together, she says.
