Vintage Lane Furniture 2-Piece Bar & Cabinet Set – Historic Military / Early American Artwork – 1983

Rare vintage Lane Furniture matching bar and cabinet/credenza set, purchased new in Chicago in 1983 and owned by the same family ever since. Selling both pieces together. This is an exceptionally distinctive set that combines functional bar/storage furniture with detailed historic American and military artwork. The dark-finished wood, antiqued brass-tone hardware and large illustrated panels give the pieces a character you simply don’t see in contemporary furniture. The larger bar measures approximately 48”H × 30”W × 18”D and opens into a surprisingly elaborate serving and storage area. The upper section features a mirrored back, glass shelving and interior lighting, while the front folds down to create a convenient serving/work surface. Additional enclosed storage is located below. When closed, the cabinet displays a detailed historic harbor/ship scene across the front doors. The matching cabinet/credenza measures approximately 36”H × 24”W × 16”D. Its double doors feature two large period military figures and open to reveal an unusually well-designed interior with multiple shelves, vertical compartments and storage racks built into both doors. This makes it useful for bottles, barware, collectibles, books or display/storage. Both pieces retain their original vintage character, including the decorative artwork, hardware and warm wood finish. The set has been used and does show normal age-related wear, scratches and finish imperfections, which can be seen in the photographs. I have intentionally not refinished the pieces because a future owner may prefer to preserve their original vintage finish.
