Description

This Art print is by artist Frances Swigart, a fine arts graduate of Tulane University’s Newcomb Art School who currently teaches at The New Orleans School of Glassworks. Swigart is recognized for meshing various printmaking disciplines, including embossing, etching, and engraving, to create imagery inspired by Gulf Coast childhood memories. Her studio utilizes an antique Kelton printing press, manufactured in New York in the early 1900s, which has been in New Orleans for over a century. Her work has been showcased at the New Orleans Museum of Art and is held by collectors internationally.
