I'm a student and used it for 2 years of college with a brand new Amazon fire stick and had 0 problems. It's on the older side but works perfectly. Lots of great movie nights, perfect for a living room or bed room setup. Or even an office monitor, the stand can be removed for a lower price. Works great, not a smart tv so needs a DVD, firestick or Apple TV plug in if you really want Netflix or whatever you'd like to use it for.
