Vintage Japanese Red Lacquerware Ginkgo Leaf Platters - Set of 4

Set of 4 vintage Mid-Century Japanese lacquerware (shikki) serving dishes shaped like elegant ginkgo leaves (ichō). Produced around the 1950s to 1970s (Showa Era), these large statement pieces feature a gorgeous, glossy vermilion red finish with crisp black rims and hand-painted stems. A unique design feature of this specific set is that two dishes can interlock/mate perfectly along the flat face of their stems to create a larger, unified display layout on your table. Large, generous size at 13" x 9" each. Accented with traditional gold-toned geometric motifs inside circular crests (mon). Includes official Japanese Kanji/utility model registration markings on the bottom. Excellent vintage condition. The lacquer retains a high-gloss sheen with no major chips, deep scratches, or cracks.
