Banded Slag Glass Chunks Collection -- Cobalt Blue

Slag glass chunks, also known as glass cullet, strongly resemble natural banded minerals like blue agate or chalcedony. They are actually a unique form of recycled art glass or historical industrial byproduct. The distinct, swirling white and light-blue concentric bands layered inside the deep cobalt blue base form naturally as different color batches of molten glass mix together. My mother worked in a glass blowing studio and these cobalt blue glass slag pieces she collected and displayed them in a beautiful pottery bowl around the house. Cobalt blue was her favorite color.
