This is an antique porcelain invalid or baby feeder.  • These items were used from the 17th century until around the 1930s to facilitate the feeding of sick patients, home-bound invalids, or infants who could not drink from a cup. 
 • Liquid or semi-solid food was placed in the feeder, and the spout was placed into the person's mouth.
