Vintage Montague Rod & Reel Co. Catalina Free Spool No. 200 conventional fishing reel, believed to date from the 1920s. Constructed with a German silver (nickel silver) frame and hard rubber side plates, this is a fine example of early American fishing tackle. The reel is marked "Catalina Free Spool" on the side plate and "200" on the reel foot. Condition: The reel is in good vintage condition for its age with expected signs of use, including patina, finish wear, oxidation, and surface scratches. The hard rubber side plates appear free of major cracks or breaks. I have not disassembled the reel due to its age in order to preserve its originality. The reel turns smoothly, and the free spool mechanism and clicker appear to function normally. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. This is a nice example of an early American conventional fishing reel and would make an excellent addition to any vintage fishing tackle collection. Selling as-is. Cash, local pickup preferred.
