Description

~ Vintage Ocean City "Catalina" conventional saltwater/surf casting fishing reel from the late 1930s to early 1940s. ~ This model features a heavy-duty chrome-plated frame, classic dark bakelite side plates, and the original pear-shaped wooden handle grip. The side faceplate is clearly stamped with the iconic cursive "Catalina Free Spool" script, and the reel foot is stamped with its "200" yard capacity rating. ~ Approx. Dimensions: • 3” diameter • weighs approx 1 lb. ~ Condition: Fair to Good vintage condition overall. It shows an authentic, uncleaned patina with minor surface green oxidation on the chrome accents and typical wear expected from age. The bakelite side plates are solid with no cracks. Spool currently holds vintage green braided line. Mechanically, the components move and it spins but it has not been tested further. Sold as is - Please see all photos for details. ~ Check out the rest of my available listings and contact me for more info 📍Pick up in Palm Desert
