After checking out a bunch of Tacomas in person here in NJ and the Tri State area, I learned how bad rusty frame issues are around here, so I decided to search for trucks in California.  Came across the exact kind of Tacoma I was looking for (2nd Gen Manual Transmission, 81K miles) listed under Surf Motors in Vista, California.  I have never purchased a vehicle from out of state, let alone one I haven't seen in person, but the pictures provided were very detailed and captured the most important parts (engine and undercarriage).   I contacted Surf Motors and Eduardo promptly sent me more pictures and even put the truck up on a lift so he could send multiple detailed videos of the undercarriage, interior, exterior, as well as of it being driven in 2wd, 4wd, and all gears.  Eduardo was great at communicating and answering my follow up questions and sent me videos of the truck being loaded for its voyage to NJ.  I just had my mechanic give it a full check up and he stated how lucky I was to find such a Great, Clean truck with no issues.  I would 100% recommend Surf Motors as a trustworthy dealership with great vehicles and great people running the place! Best car dealership I’ve ever worked with. I found a Tesla I loved sent my application through their website very easily next morning worked the deal out and went to pick my car up. Chad and Eduardo helped work around my schedule and sent my paperwork through email to make things easy. Eduardo even helped me setup my Tesla account. Very very late review…with positive feedback as a customer. I bought a 2012 Tacoma. I wish I had reached out to them earlier because they made my experience one not to forget. The team was helpful, kind, and very friendly. I’ve always wanted a Tacoma/toyota truck. Surf motors had a variety of different builds, colors and vehicle brands. I’ve had the truck for a while now and the truck still runs like gold despite it being a Toyota, Surf Motors isn’t like other used dealerships that will sell you something that will give you headaches. I felt confident to make my deal with Surf motors, I will continue business with them. Highly recommend this local dealer!

I only wish I would have found these guys sooner. I had just spent the previous two months searching website after website for a clean, series 100 LC or LX 470 that I could build into a dependable overland machine. Then early one morning there it was, a low mileage 2004 LX 470 on Autotrader.
I checked the address and the place was thirty mins from my house. I pulled up  twenty mins before they opened and I knew I was in the right place. The lot was full of Tacoma’s, Tundra’s, 4rnr’s, GX’s, I even noticed a couple series 100 LC’s and one LX 470.
I crawled under that 470 and the undercarriage was far cleaner than anything I had come across. The paint was still black on the frame. Eduardo and I went over the carfax history, and I took it for an extensive test drive. It ran and drove as good as it looked. I’m really glad I found these guys. I stopped by today to pick up my plates and they had a couple new trucks in there that I would have been taking a hard look at had I not found the one I just bought. These guys are easy to work with and most importantly, they work hard to find the best trucks.
