Vtg Nordic Scandinavian Folk Art Sleigh & Reindeer by Wes Booth Yakima

Vtg Nordic Scandinavian Folk Art Sleigh & Reindeer by Wes Booth Gleen Station Yakima Washington. Wesley (Wes) Booth (1(contact info removed)) was an individual who resided in Gleed, Washington (a small community right outside of Yakima). The bottom of the sleigh is stamped "Wes Booth Gleen Station Yakima Wa 98904" is referencing the historic area or a localized workshop/antique booth name he operated under. The sleigh and reindeer heavily leans into a Nordic / Scandinavian folk art style. The combination of geometric red and green patterning on the hand crafted wooden sleigh, the stylized profile of the running reindeer printed along the sides, and the felted texture of the standing reindeer with minimal, primitive features are classic elements of mid-century Scandinavian-inspired holiday decor. The reindeer is plush featuring a bottle brush wreath around his neck, black velveteen shoes with red socks, a felt blanket with stars and circles appliqués, felt antlers and a applique headband. Reindeer is 6" x 10 1/2". Sleigh is 8 1/2" x 5" x 6 1/2" tall. Selling both sleigh and reindeer together for $65. Both in excllent condition.
