1930s Montreal Forum 6-Day Bike Race Official Programs -Lot of 3

Up for sale is a fantastic piece of cycling and Canadian sports history: a collection of 3 original official event programs from the legendary International 6-Day Bike Races held at the historic Montreal Forum. During the interwar golden era, six-day track racing was one of the biggest spectator sports in North America, routinely packing out stadiums. These programs feature beautiful, dynamic cover art showcasing the intense action of the velodrome and highlight legendary Canadian cycling icon William "Torchy" Peden. Included in this lot: • Ninth International 6-Day Bike Race • Eleventh International 6-Day Bike Race • Thirteenth International 6-Day Bike Race These came from a friend’s collection I am helping sell. He was an avid cyclist who started racing at age of 13 and later went to Europe to race. He met many legends and published articles about his adventures. I researched similar items and did my best to give an accurate description with pricing based on comparables. Offers will be considered.
