Lot of three vintage purses including a beaded Safeco evening bag made in Japan, a beaded and sequined Richere Bag by Walborg made in Hong Kong, and a brown Geoffrey Beene wristlet. The Richere by Walborg is especially interesting as a vintage piece. Walborg was founded in New York in the late 1940s, and Richere was one of its lines of beaded evening bags. Similar Hong Kong-made Richere bags are generally dated to the 1950s–1960s. • Safeco Made in Japan: approx. 7¼” W × 4⅝” H, 5” chain drop; small interior slip pocket • Richere by Walborg, Made in Hong Kong: approx. 9” W × 5⅜” H, 5½” chain drop; small interior slip pocket and original mirror • Geoffrey Beene brown wristlet: approx. 10” W × 7” H, flat profile, 8½” wrist strap; no interior pockets.
