1988 Peugeot Canyon Express — 20” frame- Fully Rebuilt Vintage Mountain Bike — $500 Classic steel mountain bike with original blue-to-white fade paint, tanwall tires, and matching white cables and bottle cages. Full teardown, service, and rebuild, retaining original components and adding period-correct upgrades. Every part was removed and cleaned. The frame was stripped of components, cleaned, degreased, and waxed. All wheel hub, bottom bracket, and headset bearings were replaced, and the wheels were trued. Original components: * Tange double-butted chromoly frame * Stem and handlebars * Shimano Exage Mountain Biopace crankset * Shimano Uniglide cassette * 26” Araya RM-20 rims with Shimano Exage Mountain hubs * Front cantilever brake and rear U-brake, both fitted with new pads Period-correct components sourced for the rebuild: * Dia-Compe 282 brake levers * Shimano Deore XT RD-M730 rear derailleur * Shimano Deore LX FD-M650 front derailleur * Shimano Deore XT SL-M730 thumb shifters New parts: * Saddle, chain, grips, and pedals * Tanwall tires and tubes * Brake and shift cables and housing * Two white bottle cages Original paint has scratches and chips consistent with its age—please see photos.
