It is NOT carrier-locked out of the box, but it will automatically lock to whichever US carrier's SIM is inserted first. First SIM used must be a US carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) Please understand this before purchasing — see policy details below for reference. Cash on pickup preferred, serious buyers only. Meet in a safe public location. No trades. What is the US Reseller Flex Policy? It's how Apple lets non-Apple, non-carrier retailers (Best Buy, Target, eBay resellers, etc.) sell iPhones without pre-locking them to one specific carrier. In practice: The phone ships unlocked-status but not truly "Apple unlocked" — it's more like "not yet locked." Whichever US carrier SIM is inserted first, the phone permanently locks to that carrier, exactly as if you'd bought it directly from them. Once locked to a carrier, it can be unlocked as phone is fully paid in advanced.
