Gymnocalycium saglione “Giant Chin Cactus”

Fun cactus! Although these are not rare, they aren’t available very often. These are a globular shape as they grow wider than they do tall and become more interesting as they mature. This specimen is already displaying the deep lobes between growth points which is one of my favorite traits in this species. The spines on this emerge reddish and will become grey over time. When mature enough, they produce white, pink or somewhere in between flowers. Very mature specimens will create a crown of flowers at the top of the cactus. They are considered slow growing but worth the wait! Plant for sale is approx 3.5” wide and is in a 6” terra cotta pot with well draining soil. I’ve left enough room between the soil and the lip of the pot to add decorative rock if you prefer that look. Listing is for the plant and the pot.
