Sontronics DELTA Ribbon Microphone – Active Ribbon

Selling a Sontronics DELTA, a high-quality active ribbon microphone made in the UK. The original DELTA was introduced in 2008 and discontinued in 2016, making these increasingly uncommon on the used market. The DELTA is a phantom-powered ribbon mic designed for high-SPL sources. It is particularly well suited for electric guitar cabinets, but also works beautifully on drums, brass, saxophone, percussion and other instruments where you want a smooth, warm ribbon character. It has a figure-8 pickup pattern, 20Hz–15kHz frequency response, and active electronics that provide better sensitivity and consistency than many traditional passive ribbon microphones. The sound is warm, smooth and rounded, with controlled high end and excellent proximity effect. It can produce a particularly impressive guitar-amp sound and takes EQ very well if you want to add additional top end.
