Description
The Olympus Pearlcorder is a famous line of compact analog audio recorders that use microcassette tapes. Introduced in the late 1970s, these devices became the industry standard for dictation, journalism, and personal note-taking before digital recorders took over. Key Features • Microcassette Media: Uses tiny magnetic tapes that offer up to three hours of recording time using dual tape speeds. • Voice Activation (VCVA): Automatically starts recording when sound is detected and pauses during silence to save tape. • Portability: Lightweight pocket-sized designs powered by standard AAA or AA batteries. • Playback Controls: Includes features like fast play, quick review, and tape counters on many models.
