Description
For sale is a very nice 1928-G $2 Red Seal U.S. Note. The Red Seal Notes are called "United States Notes" because they are currency that was actually issued by the United States and not the Federal Reserve, which is technically a separate entity. So any Red Seal Note was actually issued from the U.S. fiscal budget and not on loan from the Federal Reserve. You'll notice the seal is located on the left side of the note whereas Notes printed after 1928 were re-located to the right side. Red Seal Notes are always fairly scarce because the Treasury would destroy these notes as they made they way back. As you can see from the pics the note is in good shape, and it would be considered average circulated. The note does have folds to it but has no major rips or tears. The white, green, and red colors are still fairly bold and vibrant. Please message me regarding payment and shipping options. This is a really nice vintage Note great for any currency collection at a low price. Please email me with questions or interest. Thanks!
