Description
Tacoma EKK19C Solid Koa Mini Jumbo Cutaway Acoustic Electric Guitar USA Solid Hawaiian Koa wood for less than the price of a used laminate Koa Taylor! This is equivalent of an $8500 Taylor K26ce. In great condition, original owner- please note that there are spots of delamination of the gloss coat which is a very common issue with these guitars, however it’s not on the top or back, only the sides. (See pics) The most Beautiful solid Hawaiian Koa back and sides out of a dozen I’ve seen! The top and back are book matched from the same slab. Lots of nice flame figuring on all sides. One piece Mahogany neck. Ebony fretboard, tortoise binding throughout. Very comfortable neck profile, more like an electric guitar. Great sounding factory LR baggs pickup system on board. Original case. (Not shown, but will sell with the guitar) Tacoma was founded by Young and Chang pianos in the 90’s as a company to source soundboards for their grand pianos (Steinway of Asia). They decided to expand the business and build guitars in Washington state. Fender bought the company in the 2000’s and moved Guild into the factory to utilize the skilled workforce. Unfortunately with the 2008 crash it took this company with it and Fender sold off Guild. Happy to provide any more details or specific photos you may require. Meet in Chino/Anaheim areas
