Beautiful vintage 1948 Holy Bible – Gold Cross Edition, published by The John C. Winston Company. This is the Illustrated Red Letter Edition and includes The Treasury of Bible Knowledge by Joseph Howard Gray along with beautiful full-color Biblical illustrations. The Bible has an attractive ivory/cream cover with gold lettering and Gold Cross Edition artwork. It also comes with its original presentation/storage box, which is increasingly difficult to find with these older Bibles. Copyright dated 1948, with an earlier 1946 copyright also noted inside. Made in the USA. The Bible is approximately 78 years old and shows age-related wear. The original box has considerably more wear, including cracking and edge/corner wear, as shown in the photos. Please review photos carefully for condition. A wonderful vintage Bible for a collector, Christian home, church display, family keepsake or religious décor.
