Description

From MGM Contemporary Classics, this is "The Birdcage" (1996) on VHS. In this remake of the classic French farce "La Cage aux Folles," a gay cabaret owner and his drag queen companion agree to put up a false straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancée's right-wing moralistic parents. Movie stars Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman and Dianne Wiest. Rated R, run time is 1 hour and 59 minutes. Slipcover shows a little wear; cassette tape is in excellent condition. This was my daughter's and I don't have a VCR to test it on now, but it should play just fine since it's just been on a shelf since she played it the last time.
