Vintage Black & Decker Grinder Turned To Shop Light 1950's

1950's Black & Decker 3 phase 8 inch Bench Grinder converted to one of one Shop light, man cave, display lighting, bedside night stand light, etc This was a 3 phase grinder that was beyond repair but casing and styling needed new life Motor was removed, extra brackets and hangers removed to help loose some weight Grinding wheel housing modified to have openings face down instead of straight forward. Openings were also opened up to let the lighting flood more workspace. The casing had great potential so it was cleaned up to keep as much of that original paint and patina as possible then buffed out with some car wax. The industrial on/off switch was saved, cleaned up and rewired to keep that unique feature Brackets were fabbed to mount standard candelabra sockets so you can use higher or lower watt bulbs, soft , bright, yellow bulbs, etc. Everyone needs USB ports for charging purposes so an extra outlet with USB ports was added to the back. Wired with a nice 9 ft long cord. I even sacrificed an older extension cord so that the cord is more period correct. Currently mounted with two 500 lumen GE Relax LED HD light bulds.
