Vintage LeClerc Tissart Tapestry Loom

Beautiful full size tapestry loom…solid wood, made in Canada. In excellent vintage condition. Suitable for weaving, artistic tapestry, blankets/rugs or smaller items such as linens and dish towels. The frame has been well cared for and maintained. The treadle assembly was missing when I obtained the loom, but a woodworker friend crafted a custom replacement that is even more lovely than the original. The only other flaw is the crank for the upper beam(also missing). A small wrench functions perfectly to turn the beam, but a replacement can also be ordered if you prefer. Otherwise, everything is in working order and ready to go. Comes with the pictured reed as well as some lead sticks, etc. . Really a beautiful weaving tool, and I’m torn about letting it go…but my weaving interest is focused in a different direction now. It’s too lovely to let sit unused and enjoyed. These are hard to come by, so this is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants a large scale tapestry loom with a remarkably small footprint. It is fully assembled and can be transported that way(with just unbolting the treadle assembly), or I’m happy to help with disassembly if needed. Total footprint is 52” wide, 28” deep and 69” tall. Weaving width is 46”.
