DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Messaging with someone for two days about a truck here and trading in ours. Confirmed an apt time, showed up and there was no sales team here. Apparently they are out for the whole week even though we were told differently. Then we get in the “diesel” truck we were inquiring about to test drive it and it’s 1. Not a diesel and 2 the check engine light is on. What a waste of time and two plus hour drive. Terrible business, don’t waste your time.

The only shop I go to for my car needs for 4 years now! I love them so much. They provide amazing customer service, are 100% honest and I can trust them wholeheartedly, as a mechanic myself I don't trust easily and am very picky who I let work on my baby, and when I get caught up in life the service crew at Sensible are the only ones I let repair my car when I need it, and they even went the extra mile on giving me a ride to get my car when they finished when I asked. I love and appreciate their kindness so much. They also did everything in a timely manner and very reasonable with pricing. Update: The owner's response is misleading. Under 15 NYCRR §79.11(g), a red rejection sticker is required when a vehicle fails either the safety or emissions inspection — not just emissions. My sticker was removed, but no red sticker was issued, leaving me illegally driving with no inspection.

To make things more confusing, one employee told me during the wait that they held me hostage that they were “waiting for the red sticker to print” and the machine wasn’t working.  Then I was given my car and it was all set finally, Later, when I called about the sticker, another employee told me on the phone that “it's just a piece of paper.” Now the owner claims red stickers are only for emissions failures. Their team clearly doesn't understand the actual law, which puts consumers at risk.

Blaming me for wear and tear on a vehicle with over 100K miles — then offering a reinspection as if that’s a favor — is manipulative and unprofessional....a great example of how they truly run their business.  I never authorized them to remove all four wheels or “take the car apart,” which is not standard NYS inspection protocol. The entire experience was inappropriate and coercive.

I would strongly caution anyone from bringing their vehicle here for a New York State inspection.

I scheduled an appointment a week in advance after seeing their “Free NYS Inspection” promotion. When I arrived, I was told the inspection would take over an hour because "New York likes the car in the air and the tires taken off" — which sounded strange, but I stayed.

After more than an hour, I was told my car failed due to a supposed issue that felt like a hard upsell. I declined repairs and asked for my car back so I could pick up my kids, but they stalled again,their “NYS system was down” so they couldn’t print the failed sticker.

They removed my valid inspection sticker but never gave me the required red failed sticker, which left me driving illegally with no documentation. I called afterward to ask about it, and they falsely claimed “failures are just a piece of paper” — that is completely incorrect under NYS law. A red sticker is required by DMV regulations for any failed vehicle and protects drivers for 10 days. Without it, I could be ticketed at any time.

This was not just frustrating — it was dangerous and deceptive. I never signed anything authorizing them to take my vehicle apart or delay its return. The entire process felt like a trap to pressure people into repairs or make it harder for them to leave once they're on the lift.

I am filing a formal complaint with the NYS DMV. Please do your research and go to a reputable, licensed inspection station. Don’t risk your time, safety, or legal standing by coming here.

Can not say enough!! Our car broke down, we needed a part replaced and Angel was there to help. Fixed the part in under an hour. Will recommend him highly as a mechanic and will hopefully be able to work with him again. Excellent Excellent experience!!! Would give 10 stars if we could.
