Description

This is an Egyptian-style scarab pendant necklace. The central pendant is a classic scarab amulet (the dung beetle form sacred in ancient Egypt as a symbol of rebirth, the sun god Khepri, and regeneration). One side shows the more rounded, cracked beetle body (visible in the previous photo), while this view shows the flat base carved with hieroglyphic-style inscriptions arranged in horizontal registers.
