Genuine Mengel 4 piece Bedroom Suite

located at Decatur and Robindale Cash only, pick up only . this is an authentic bedroom set by Mengel furniture, circa 1950, designed by Raymond Loewy (the designer of the Shell logo and Air Force One, among many other iconic things), making this line an historic part of midcentury modern Americana. solid oak construction that Mengel called "permanized". it has a bleached oak finish (sometimes called limed or cerused) that gives the wood an elegant blonde or kind of gray color. Solid wood construction with French dovetails, brass pyramid hardware, and all the original mengel-man stamps, medallions, and labels on every piece . The pieces and dimensions are as follows: 4 drawer lowboy dresser: 44x19x32 (2) 4 drawer bachelor's chests: 16x19x32 bedside table: 16x16x28 . these four pieces absorbed different amounts of sunshine over the last 70 some years, so the color of the finish varies between them. I'm not thrilled about that and have marked the price accordingly, but aside from this very minor cosmetic iniquity, they are in otherwise incredible condition from a smoke and pet free home, recently cleaned and sanitized and ready for another 70 years of service. . . . . . . . . . . . . . vintage retro antique rare collectible mid-century modern MCM midcentury modern art deco dresser chest of drawers nightstand bedside table side table lingerie chest bed headboard mattress bedroom furniture bed room set raised panel
