ve owned this for several years, only use it at work when we are doing electrical panel swaps, or during power outages, it’s always worked well for that. However, the engine blew a valve this past November, I replaced the head with a new one, and fresh carburetor. It ran and made power, but you can hear a knock, likely from the bottom end. Work bought me a new generator and I don’t want to spend more time on this one. So if you want to rebuild the bottom end, or buy a new motor to swap in you’ll be good to go. It’s a pretty standard 6.5hp Honda style motor. Likely the harbor freight motors could be put in. I’ll include the old carburetor and a few spare parts I have. $50, half firm or I’ll throw it in a scrap run sometime. This is pick up only, from my home, or nearby meeting point, in Edmonds.
